1. Nature of Services

Your Journey Story provides personalized travel consulting services, including tailor-made itineraries, travel ideas, and destination recommendations.
The company operates solely as a travel consultant and not as a travel agency, tour operator, or intermediary.

No bookings, ticketing, accommodation reservations, or package tours are sold or arranged through this website or by the Consultant.
All arrangements and purchases are made directly by the client with third-party providers.

The Consultant is not liable for the accuracy, reliability, or performance of services offered by third parties, nor for cancellations, delays, or changes outside her control.

2. Terms of Service

2.1. Agreement

By contacting or engaging the Consultant, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
Services begin once the Consultant confirms the request and, where applicable, the client has completed payment via invoice or bank transfer.
No online payments are accepted through this website.

2.2. Scope of Service

Advice and itineraries are based on the Consultant’s professional experience and available information.
They do not constitute a guarantee of service availability, quality, or satisfaction.

2.3. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

  • verifying travel details, availability, and bookings,
  • meeting all legal travel requirements (visas, insurance, health, etc.),
  • confirming arrangements directly with providers.

The Consultant does not represent or act on behalf of third-party service providers.

2.4. Withdrawal and Cancellations

Because consulting services are personalized and start immediately upon request, the client acknowledges and agrees to waive the statutory 14-day withdrawal right under Article 43č of the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1, implementing EU Directive 2011/83/EU).
Refunds are only possible if the Consultant cannot deliver the service as agreed.

2.5. Limitation of Liability

The Consultant’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the consultation.
No responsibility is accepted for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, nor for actions of third-party providers.

2.6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia.
Disputes will be settled amicably, or if not possible, before the competent court in Slovenia.
Consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

3. Privacy Policy

3.1. Data Controller

Podjetniško in poslovno svetovanje, Katja Sovdat s.p. acts as the Data Controller for all personal data collected through this website or email communication.

3.2. Data Collected

  • Name and surname
  • Email address
  • Travel preferences or information voluntarily provided by the client

No financial or payment data is collected via this website.

3.3. Purpose and Legal Basis

Personal data is processed solely for:

  • preparation and provision of personalized travel advice (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract),
  • communication with clients (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest),
  • compliance with legal and accounting obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

The client may withdraw consent at any time by emailing journeyyourstory@gmail.com.

3.4. Data Retention

Data is stored securely and retained for up to five (5) years after the completion of services, unless required otherwise by law.

3.5. Data Sharing

Personal data is not shared with third parties except:

  • with contracted service providers (e.g., accounting, hosting, IT maintenance) under confidentiality agreements,
  • with public authorities where legally required.

3.6. Data Transfers Outside the EU

If data must be transferred outside the European Economic Area (for example, when communicating with clients in the United States), it will be done only:

  • to countries with an adequacy decision (Article 45 GDPR), or
  • using Standard Contractual Clauses ensuring adequate protection (Article 46 GDPR).

3.7. Data Subject Rights

You have the right to:

  • access, rectify, or erase your data,
  • restrict or object to processing,
  • request data portability,
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of Slovenia (IP-RS).

The Company implements appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, in accordance with Article 32 GDPR and ZVOP-2.

These cookies do not track users or store personal data.

4.2. No Analytics or Marketing Cookies
